Sports Math

Fact Football (or softball, etc.): Toss the football back and forth. With each toss, count by 2s, 5s, 10s, 7s, 12s or 120's! Choose the fact they need to work on. For younger children, push them on the swing, and count with each swing.


Variation: Each time someone catches the ball, count (+1). If someone misses, count (-1). Keep a total score instead of individual scores. With basketball, count (+3) for making a basket and (+2 or +2.5) for catching a rebound. Change the numbers if you are working on a particular fact.
